Writing as Awakening

As a child, I devoured every book I could find—moving up in literature classes, spending hours in the library, and learning the rules just to break them. That little girl grew into a writer, guided not by structure but by instinct, by feeling.

My hope is that in my words, you rediscover something within yourself—something longing to be remembered, stirred, or awakened.

Untitled (2021)

A chance encounter between a homeless man and a librarian in the quiet sanctuary of a library sparks a deep, quiet reflection on belonging, memory, and what it means to be forgotten. In the midst of books, they long for something that may never be found.

What defines our place in the world? Is it the space we inhabit, or the stories the systems tell ourselves and others?

An Eternal Gesture (2021)

A flower shop nestled beside a cemetery becomes a place of quiet mourning and unexpected connection. Amidst the blooms, the boundaries between life and death blur, leaving both the living and the departed to wonder at the delicate balance between the two.

Do the dead leave us with anything, or do we leave behind the pieces of ourselves for others to grow?

Welcome to SMH (2021)

A family from a distant galaxy embarks on a journey to Earth, marveling at the strange beauty of a Disneyland vacation planet they’ve only ever observed from afar. The story explores the space between alienation and connection, the familial bonds that bridge our identities?

How do we bridge the gaps between what is familiar and what is foreign? And in the process, do we lose part of ourselves?
